Working from the Avenue Des Champs Elysées to the Mojave desert, Los Angeles photographer, Weldon Brewster creates incredible photographs that capture the essence or soul of a time and place. Weldon’s architectural photography clients include: Arthur Anderson, Ernst & Young, Hugo Boss, Kaiser Permanente, Calvin Klein, Universal Studios among many others. The industrial and annual report clients include Amerigon, Exxon , Rio Tinto, STM, U.S. Borax, Western States Petroleum Association. Weldon has a unique ability to relate to everyone from art directors to roughnecks, cowboys, miners and just about anybody else who wears cool boots for a living! If you need a location photographer who can run through brick walls (shoot for 27 hours straight) or just take great photos, call him.

As an industrial photographer, Weldon loves his job - being from Texas it makes for some great storytelling. He can tell you about: hanging out of helicopters for aerial photography, chasing the 20-mule team across the Mojave desert in 114 degree heat, getting a camera within 25 yards of 108,000 lbs of explosives (safely), intimate portraits of 240 ton haul trucks and 2.5 million lb shovels, get an 8x10 camera off a tugboat without dropping the client in the LA harbor (oops, she fell in but the film was safe), shooting from a horse or a wagon, the proper safety procedures for everything from oil rigs to mines to industrial plants to blasts (watch out for the rocks that don’t seem to move up in air - they are headed right for you.) Most of all he can listen and build the trust of workingmen and women that is necessary to get great industrial photography.

Architectural photographers also have a cool job and Weldon has plenty of stories to tell there too. Ask him about: Clients setting his hair on fire (not on purpose), shooting for 49 out of 60 hours over a weekend, hanging out on a ledge 5 stories above downtown Los Angeles to get just the right shot (we wore safety harnesses - goodness, I hope my mother doesn’t read this.) Non-disclosure agreements prevent listing more stories here. Weldon has the discretion and patience to work in the unique Hollywood environment of Los Angeles.

Fine art photography takes Weldon to a different level. Whether it is photos of Paris or waterfalls in Yosemite the results are the same - great photos. Ask him about: coming nose to nose with a black bear (I felt like a bear twinkie in my sleeping bag), 600 foot rappels in Utah with 50 lbs of camera gear (my climbing partner and compadre is a good sport), how in the world he got within 15 feet of the Queen of England (I still haven’t figured how I did that), the best place to have a beer and people watch on a Tuesday afternoon (Musée D’Orsay - although anywhere in Paris is great), the biker named Gremlin who dragged down a tree with his motorcycle (I just wanted a few hours sleep before shooting the Arizona desert at dawn), capsizing his kayak off the California coast (thank goodness for dry-bags)

Why four sections? Weldon has a variety of interests that fit under the realm of location photography. As a Los Angeles photographer, Weldon travels anywhere to create great photos with a creative flair for fun. New architectural photography studio in Salt Lake City.
